Terms of service

The service

DeckLex lets you play card games — classics verified against a stated ruleset, and games created by other users — and author your own games with an AI assistant. Games run deterministically on our servers; the AI assists creation only and never plays or referees a game.

Accounts

You can play without an account. Signing in with your email creates an account that keeps your identity across devices and enables authoring and publishing. You are responsible for keeping access to your email inbox secure — anyone who can read your sign-in links can access your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Content you create

You own the games and content you author. By creating content on DeckLex you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, compile, run, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service — including keeping the compiled artifacts of published games available so that other players' sessions remain playable and auditable. This license survives account deletion only for that narrow operational purpose; deletion unlists your published games and permanently deletes your authoring conversations and drafts.

There is no paid marketplace today. If revenue sharing or purchases launch later, they will come with separate terms you must explicitly accept — nothing in these terms grants us commercial rights to your games beyond operating the free service.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content in games or listings.
• No impersonation, spam, or attempts to abuse rate limits and quotas.
• No attempts to break other players' games, extract hidden game state, or interfere with the service's integrity.

Publishing runs automated checks; listed games can be reported by signed-in users. Reports of severe violations remove a listing from the catalog pending review. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms.

DeckLex Verified

The "Verified" mark means a game passed our mechanical verifier as faithful to a stated ruleset, with any simplifications disclosed on its page. It is a statement about rules fidelity, not an endorsement of quality.

Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in-app or from the account page; the privacy policy describes exactly what is erased and what operational records remain. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeckLex is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. User-created games are their authors' work; we do not review them before listing.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
