Put 36 cards (33 kinds) into the deck. Put 1 card (1 kind) into the discard. Shuffle the deck. Deal 7 cards from the deck to each player's hand.

Deck: a pile, shared, hidden from everyone (only the count shows). Hand: a spread, each player has their own, visible only to its owner. Discard: a pile, shared, face up for everyone.

Play card — choose a card from your hand; uses your own hand and the discard. • If the pending draws marked on the top card of the discard (or 0 if unmarked) matches 0 and the declared color marked on the top card of the discard (or the color of the top card of the discard if unmarked) matches the color of the chosen card or the rank of the top card of the discard matches the rank of the chosen card and it is not true that the rank of the chosen card matches Draw two and it is not true that the rank of the chosen card matches Wild: move the chosen card from the chosen from zone to the chosen to zone; play passes to the next player. Play draw two — choose a card from your hand; uses your own hand and the discard. • If the pending draws marked on the top card of the discard (or 0 if unmarked) matches 0 and the deck has any cards and the declared color marked on the top card of the discard (or the color of the top card of the discard if unmarked) matches the color of the chosen card or the rank of the top card of the discard matches the rank of the chosen card and the rank of the chosen card matches Draw two: move the chosen card from the chosen from zone to the chosen to zone; mark pending draws on the chosen card as 2; play passes to the next player.
